NaNoWriPod - Nanowrimo / writing / creativity / process

A podcast dedicated to the event known as National Novel Writing Month

Episode 2: NaNoWriRules and Plot

Thinking out loud about National Novel Writing Month.  This podcast covers the event where writers try to complete 50,000 words in 30 days.

Episode 2: NaNoWriRules and Plot

From the National Novel Writing Month forums: “NaNoWriMo defines a novel as a 'lengthy work of fiction.' The short answer to your question is, if you think you're writing a novel, then so do we.”

We discuss plot outlines, specifically the gardener v. the architect. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the monomyth. Then, we learn about Ben and Jim's experience with each style.

Question for listeners: How much do you outline before the month starts? Have you started outlining already? If you do prep work, does that help with the overall success?
